Steam and hot water
Describe the steam or hot-water conditions, temperature, pressure, exposure duration and any cleaning cycles. Review the specific compound and sealing arrangement together.
BY MATERIAL
FLUID supplies O-rings manufactured using AFLAS-brand FEPM elastomer materials and supports material selection and application review. Share your drawing, dimensions, compound reference or operating conditions to get started.

01 / AFLAS FEPM REQUIREMENTS
Steam, hot water, amines and alkaline media are starting points for evaluating FEPM, not confirmation that every compound or finished seal is suitable. Review the actual exposure and sealing conditions before choosing a product.
Describe the steam or hot-water conditions, temperature, pressure, exposure duration and any cleaning cycles. Review the specific compound and sealing arrangement together.
Identify the exact chemicals, concentration, mixtures and temperature. A broad media category alone does not establish compatibility.
Share the existing material or compound reference, dimensions and reason for replacement. An alternative is not assumed equivalent simply because it is also FEPM.
02 / AFLAS FEPM REQUIREMENTS
AFLAS is a brand name; FEPM is a material classification. This page covers O-rings made with AFLAS-brand FEPM materials. The AFLAS brand is not limited to FEPM products. AFLAS is an AGC brand.
The finished O-rings are produced by manufacturers in our supply chain rather than by the material brand owner. The actual elastomer grade, compounded formulation and material-source documentation are confirmed for each order; documentation is not automatically included with every order.
Continuous operation and short exposures are reviewed separately, including duration, frequency and temperature cycling. A short exposure does not automatically permit exceeding a material limit.
The specific compound and available documentation are reviewed together with media, pressure, static or dynamic operation, gland geometry, compression and clearances. Material selection alone is not confirmation of sealing-system performance.
03 / REVIEW
You do not need a complete specification to begin.
Drawing, dimensions, sample information or part reference.
Existing compound, AFLAS grade or specified brand requirement, if known.
Exact media, concentration, mixtures and cleaning exposure.
Continuous operating temperature, short exposures, duration, frequency and temperature cycling.
Pressure, static or dynamic operation, gland information and any leakage or replacement concern.

05 / TECHNICAL REVIEW FAQ
Yes. A sample, dimensions, photo, part number, or a description of the sealing issue can provide the starting point.
Share the information available, such as media, temperature, pressure, motion, seal geometry, or operating history. Missing information can be identified during the review.
We review the available requirement, clarify the next information needed where relevant, and respond with the appropriate next step.
