One-Piece Compression Molding
Rubber is placed in a full annular mold and cured under heat and pressure to form the complete ring in one molding operation. Ring dimensions, compound behavior and available tooling must be reviewed together.
CUSTOM O-RINGS
Discuss large-diameter, non-standard or replacement O-ring requirements with FLUID. Start with your drawing, dimensions, material specification and operating conditions so the manufacturing approach and sealing requirements can be reviewed together.

01 / LARGE-DIAMETER O-RING REQUIREMENTS
The manufacturing route depends on ring geometry, compound, tooling, quantity and agreed quality requirements. These process descriptions explain the options to review; they do not confirm feasibility for a particular part.
Rubber is placed in a full annular mold and cured under heat and pressure to form the complete ring in one molding operation. Ring dimensions, compound behavior and available tooling must be reviewed together.
The ring is formed and cured in successive sections using sectional tooling and controlled repositioning. This is not the same as joining the two ends of a cut length of finished cord. Process transitions, dimensional consistency and acceptance requirements need specific review.
02 / LARGE-DIAMETER O-RING REQUIREMENTS
Specify the compound and hardness where known, rather than relying on a material family name alone. Review compatibility with the exact operating media and cleaning agents, pressure cycles, and whether the seal is static or dynamic.
Describe continuous temperature and short exposures separately, including duration, frequency, cold starts and thermal cycling. Material availability and suitability remain subject to confirmation for the particular ring and manufacturing route.
03 / LARGE-DIAMETER O-RING REQUIREMENTS
Provide inside diameter, cross-section, units and drawing tolerances. Include gland geometry, surface finish, compression and clearances so the ring can be assessed as part of the sealing system.
Explain the assembly path, installation stretching, motion and handling constraints. Large rings can change shape during handling; agree the measurement method and acceptance conditions instead of judging dimensions from an unsupported ring or photograph alone.
04 / LARGE-DIAMETER O-RING REQUIREMENTS
Treat dimensional acceptance, surface finish, flash and visible defects, compound traceability and required documentation as requirements to agree before ordering. For sectional processing, include the transition areas in the acceptance discussion.
Specify any inspection method or application test that is required. The inspection scope, documentation and acceptance criteria must be confirmed for the order; this page does not claim a universal tolerance, testing capability or performance guarantee.

07 / TECHNICAL REVIEW FAQ
Yes. A sample, dimensions, photo, part number, or a description of the sealing issue can provide the starting point.
Share the information available, such as media, temperature, pressure, motion, seal geometry, or operating history. Missing information can be identified during the review.
We review the available requirement, clarify the next information needed where relevant, and respond with the appropriate next step.
NEXT STEP
Send the information available. We will review the manufacturing approach, compound, dimensions, gland and quality requirements, and clarify what needs confirmation for your application.
